Commanders batsman Tress Way isn’t doing much these days. The team’s Monday night game against the Cincinnati Bengals was the first in the Super Bowl era without a loss or punt. The Commanders have scored on every offensive play, not including kneels, in two straight games. Way is fine with that. “I bet once,” he told WUSA9’s Chick Hernandez. “I’m ready to play if it happens again, but this is very exciting right now.” Way said he noticed a difference while practicing for the team’s game against the Arizona Cardinals. “We were practicing and I was like, ‘Oh my god, I feel pretty good!’ And I also feel like I haven’t done this in a long time,” he said.

Way called his team’s performance so far unbelievable. He said the longer he was out on the field, the more excited he became. “When you’re in the middle of the game, you also become a fan. Offense is cheering for defense, defense is cheering for offense. I’m cheering for everyone. It’s time, the third time, I expected them to convert. It was fun to watch. But yeah, I was ready to roll whenever called upon,” Way said.
