Tarlov said Trump lied about his record “all the usual criticism”. She added that Trump’s comments about Harris’ race were “offensive.” Trump was asked by Scott about Republicans calling Harris a “DEI hire” and if he agreed with that. After arguing with Scott over the definition of “DEI”, Trump said, “She’s always been of Indian origin, and she’s only promoting Indian origin. I didn’t know she was black until some years ago, when she happened to turn black, and now she wants to be known as black. So, I don’t know, is she Indian or is she black? ”

He added, “I respected both of them, but obviously she didn’t, because she was Indian to begin with, then suddenly she took a different turn and she became black. I think someone should look into that as well.”
