After an MVP-winning performance in the National Championship against the New York Mets, Los Angeles Dodgers baseball player Tommy Edman continued his top form to start the World Series against the New York Yankees. Edman had two hits in each of the first four games of the Fall Classic, equaling the team record. Major League Baseball’s record for most games with multiple hits in a postseason is nine games and was set by Troy Glaus in 2002, Marquis Grissom in 1996 and Marty Barrett in 1986.

Tommy Edman has multiple hits in seven games this postseason, tied with Mookie Betts in 2020 and Steve Garvey in 1981 for the most hits in a single at-bat in Dodgers history MLB record for hits: 9 – 2002 Troy Glaus, 1996 Marquis Grissom, 1986 Marty Barrett. Edman started the game in Game 1 of the World Series with a double and then in the second inning of Game 2 with a single down the left field line. He followed it up with a double the next at bat. Since joining the Dodgers, Edman has been a nightmare for lefties like Rodón, going an unbelievable 25/50 with six home runs, six doubles and one triple. And in the postseason, he turned it up a notch, going 11/16 (.688) with four doubles and two home runs against left-handed pitching.
