PITTSBURGH (KDKA) -Six pizza shops in the Pittsburgh area will need more money after a famous pizza critic visited their restaurants unannounced. Barstool Sports founder Dave Portnoy visited six pizza shops around the Pittsburgh area on Tuesday to review his popular ‘One Bite’ pizzas. KDKA-TV’s Jessica Guay visited several pizza shops to find out how they handle the attention even before the scores are announced.

Sean Jefairjian, owner of A Slice of New York in Murrysville, makes running a busy pizzeria look easy, but things are about to get even crazier. Jefairjian said he has been petitioning Portnoy to try his handcrafted pizza with New York beef bones for years. “We were his first stop after getting off the plane, and it was a pretty cool experience when he got here,” he said. “I always say if Dave came in, we would get a 7.9 or an 8.1, depending on how long the pizza was in the box, and we could just say, we did better than I did.” think”.
“I thought, ‘That’s Dave Portnoy. Maybe he’s here to review the pizza,'” said Chad Kaylor, general manager of Ianni’s Pizzeria. We were all shocked, and he came here and recognized the pizza.”Ianni’s Pizzeria owner Wesley Harris said he was excited for Portnoy to try his pizza. He said they focus on specialty pizzas, with a variety of sauces and creations devised by his father.
