Tom Brady congratulated Los Angeles Dodgers superstar Shohei Ohtani after he achieved the first streaks in MLB history with 50 home runs and 50 stolen bases. Ohtani went 6-for-6 with three home runs, 10 RBIs, four runs and two stolen bases in a 20-4 win over the Miami Marlins on Thursday night. He also became a founding member of the 51/51 club along the way as the Dodgers earned a spot in the postseason. The number 50 is also an important number for Brady, a seven-time Super Bowl champion and three-time NFL MVP. He became the first NFL quarterback to throw for 50 or more touchdowns in a single season in 2007.

As for Ohtani, he just accomplished an incredible feat in a remarkable season that saw him post a 1.005 OPS, 51 home runs, 120 RBI, 51 stolen bases and 123 runs. But now he’s aiming for his first playoff appearance. The Dodgers are still fighting for the NL West championship. LA is in control of that game, four games ahead of the second-place San Diego Padres with nine games remaining. Next up is a three-game home series with the Colorado Rockies that begins Friday.
