The record for most rushing yards in a season is currently held by former Tennessee Titans superstar Chris Johnson, who ran for 2,509 yards in 2009. Barkley now has a chance to break the record. He’s averaging 147.17 yards from scrimmage per game in 12 games this year. If you predicted that number over 17 games, it would be 2,501.89. His current speed is only about eight yards less than what Johnson can achieve. He clearly has the ability to make a big splash and had over 300 yards from scrimmage recently against the Los Angeles Rams. Another game even close to that level of output would take him to the record. Barkley needs 743 yards in the final five games to equal the record.
