Last weekend, the Rebels captured six event titles and a current college-leading three finishes thanks to third-year athlete Tarik Robinson-O’Hagan , third-year athlete Arvesta Troupe and sophomore athlete Akaoma Odeluga during a split week at Kentucky’s Rod McCravy Track and Field Championships and Vanderbilt’s Commodore Challenge Track and Field Championships. Odeluga established its current world lead in the 2025 women’s shot put with a career best of 18.37m/60-03.25. That distance ranks third in Ole Miss indoor history, 20th in university history, and makes her one of three indoor 60 feet in Rebel women’s history along with Olympian Raven Saunders.

Odeluga also finished second in the weight throw with a personal best of 21.23m/69-8, currently ranked 7th in Division I, 2nd in the SEC and 7th in Ole Miss history. In two meets, Odeluga improved 10 feet in the weight throw compared to her freshman personal best. Robinson-O’Hagan is a preseason watch list member of The Bowerman, college athletics’ version of the Heisman Trophy. A semifinalist last season, Robinson-O’Hagan is the first Ole Miss men’s pitcher to make the watch list and just the fourth in Rebel men’s history overall along with fellow Olympian Ricky Robertson. Hickel also owns the No. 34 national record in the shot put with his career-best mark of 17.85m/58-06.75 last month, which ranks fifth in Ole Miss history indoors.

The Arvesta Troupe won the high jump at Kentucky with a career-best mark of 2.20m/7-02.50, currently leading all collegiate high jumpers. That height by Troupe is the best by a male Rebel indoor jumper since 2020 and is tied for third all-time in Ole Miss indoor history. This season, the Troupe’s performance is currently tied for sixth worldwide and second in the United States for 2025. Ole Miss received a pair of great opening 800-meter performances at Birmingham last month from rookie Max Armstrong and sophomore Jonathan Stock . Armstrong’s winning time of 1:49.65 not only puts him at No. 5 in the nation and No. 1 in the SEC this year, but also ranks him as the 14th best athlete in Ole history Miss in the house.
