The bad news for Cleveland: The Yankees will counter with Cy Young winner Gerrit Cole, which makes for a tough, uphill battle as the Guardians try to score points before getting to Cleveland.

The Yankees defeated the Guardians 6-3 to win Game 2 of the ALCS. The Guardians would return to Cleveland with a 2-0 series deficit. The Guardians have played their best when pushed into a corner, but that will be tested to a high degree in this series. The Guardians would need more, and had to hustle, but Jose Ramirez hit a solo home run into the shortstop in right field to make it 6-3. It was his second home run of the postseason.
