Dodgers fans flooded intersections in Los Angeles County to celebrate the team’s advance to the World Series on Sunday night. An incident occurred on Atlantic Avenue and Olympic Avenue shortly after the Boys in Blue defeated the New York Mets 10-5 at Dodger Stadium. Vehicles were recorded setting off flares while fans threw fireworks and ran through the streets with Dodgers flags. A flag-carrying fan wearing a clown mask was even seen patting the back of a California Highway Patrol vehicle as it passed through the intersection.

The Los Angeles County Sheriff’s Department also responded to the intersection to help stop the crazy celebration. Members of law enforcement used tear gas and riot gear to clear the area. It’s unclear if any arrests have been made. Similar incidents were reported at other intersections across the country.
