The Washington Commanders didn’t need any miracles this week, but they held off a comeback attempt by the New York Giants for a 27-22 win in Week 9. In the win, Commanders quarterback Jayden Daniels made history by becoming the first rookie in the Super Bowl era to defeat the Giants twice in one season. Daniels performed well, completing 15 of 22 passes for 208 yards, two touchdowns and no interceptions, with two key sacks and no turnovers worth losing. The Commanders extended their lead atop the NFC East, while the Giants dropped to 2-7, including an 0-5 record at home.
