After the surprise presentation, Kyle, along with broadcaster Tom McCarthy and 1993 NL champion and 2008 World Series manager Milt Thompson, participated in a “Chalk Talk” question-and-answer event with SEI staff to talk about this initiative and share stories about being a professional footballer. In addition to spearheading efforts to restart the Middle Way Baseball League, Kyle and his wife, Paige, are founders of Schwarber’s Neighborhood Heroes, an organization that honors first responders and military personnel by honor their heroism, courage and devotion to duty.
