As usual, the NBA has a trophy to honor the best player in the regional final series. In this Celtics vs Pacers match, Jaylen Brown was honored and lifted the trophy named after the legendary Larry Bird. The 27-year-old superstar shined in all four of the Boston Celtics’ victories, averaging 29.8 points, 5.0 rebounds, 3.0 assists and 2.0 steals per game. In Game 1, he was the owner of the equalizing shot in the fourth quarter to send the two teams into extra time, where the Celtics won at home. In Game 2, Jaylen Brown scored 40 points in the only match with a large difference in the series. After a relatively effective Game 3 with 24 points (10-18 FG), Brown spoke strongly in Game 4 with a series of situations that contributed to the final 5 points of the match. He scored 2 points, had a block on defense and then assisted Derrick White on a 3-pointer to seal the victory for the Celtics.
Thanks to ending their series early to lock in tickets to the 2024 NBA Finals, the Boston Celtics also have a full 10 days of rest before the grand final series officially begins.
