Eagles quarterback Jalen Hurts had a good week. After leading Philadelphia to a decisive 27-13 victory over the Pittsburgh Steelers on Sunday, Hurts arrived at his press conference wearing a backwards Kangol hat and a diamond-encrusted necklace. Hurts’ appearance made ESPN analyst Domonique Foxworth feel like the Eagles quarterback was getting a free pass because of a “cool perk.” The Huts passed the ball 25 of 32 times (78.1%) for 290 yards and scored two touchdowns. He also ran for 45 more yards, including a 23-yard run, with a touchdown. This season, he has the highest pass completion rate of his career (69.2%). He threw 18 touchdowns and had four interceptions, a career low
Despite leading the Eagles to a 12-2 record, tied with the Detroit Lions for the best in the NFL, Hurts has been the subject of criticism this season. On Tuesday, NFL insider Jay Glazer reported that Hurts’ relationship with his teammates warranted a visit from Eagles captains Brandon Graham and Dom DiSandro during Philadelphia’s BYE week. Graham denied this visit to Hurts in the comments section of an Instagram post regarding Glazer’s report. But the Eagles’ record they’re 10-0 since they REST since then would indicate a change for the better within the team.
