The Chiefs may need another Super Bowl victory to overcome this year’s setback. But it will take the Giants years to surpass the Eagles’ Super Bowl LIX victory. And no, it’s not just because they’re division rivals. It’s because Philly did that to their former player. Yes, you are thinking right. We’re talking about Saquon Barkley. The same Saquon just became a Super Bowl champion and won Offensive Player of the Year honors. And give yourself the Lombardi Trophy on your birthday. NFL Network reporter Tom Pelissero stopped by The Rich Eisen Show, to stir up a little excitement. Tom and Eisen talked about whether Philly should participate in the next off-season edition of Hard Knocks. Now, die-hard football fans must know that it is a factual sports documentary where you can follow your favorite NFL teams during training camp and off-season preparations. Philly joining would be hell for the Giants. You can imagine the drama, Howie Roseman’s masterminding of Barkley, RB’s first Super Bowl win and his journey to redemption in Philly. The Eagles are in the perfect position to rub salt into the wounds of John Mara and the Giants. But the Giants letting Saquon Barkley go is so bad that the program could be canceled. Yes, you read that right. The whole purpose of Hard Knocks is to serve fans with insights about the NFL that leave them wanting to know more. And that can only happen when teams agree to show the behind-the-scenes processes. Giants did just that when they entertained the whole world by showing the behind the scenes of their free agency. John Mara and team did not offer Barkley a ‘fair’ deal. Furthermore, they threw $40 million at Daniel Jones only to fire him mid-season. So now, teams are probably looking at the Giants’ mess and thinking, ‘ No, not worth it. ‘
