Former Atlanta Braves baseball player and 2024 World Series MVP Freddie Freeman is enjoying the attention of Los Angeles. Monday night, he went on Jimmy Kimmel Live to discuss the championship. Freeman and Kimmel talked about a variety of topics, from the home run, to the “Stop Freddie” sign at Yankee Stadium and the celebration immediately after the victory. He also shared about the special feeling of receiving a standing ovation from the crowd when he returned from a trip to care for his son Max, who was diagnosed with Guillain-Barré Syndrome.

He said he felt the love from the fans and was happy to be able to repay it with a historic performance at the World Series. “I think everyone knows my family and I have been through a lot with my son,” he said. “… when I came back, that first game was one of the most special things I’ve ever been a part of…This is a disorder in which the immune system attacks the nervous system. By August, Max was expected to make a full recovery. Freeman took home World Series MVP honors and his second World Series ring. In five World Series games, he had a .300/.364/1.000 slash line with four home runs and 12 RBI. That RBI total ranks as the highest in a World Series. He played for the Atlanta Braves from 2010 to 2021. He made five all-star teams, won the 2020 MVP award, the 2018 Gold Glove award and won the 2021 World Series.
