This artist is famous for his stunning portraits of Marilyn Monroe, Muhammad Ali, Mich Jagger and now Jeter. This collection is beautiful and features iconic moments from this baseball player. This is a collaboration between the gallery and Major League Baseball. Gallery partner Brain Swarts said, “Jeter wanted an artist to do a collection of paintings. He liked art and wanted images that were important to him in his career.” He added that there must have been a lot of artists, and he ultimately chose Russell because Derek Jeter liked his style and thought his artwork was ‘cool’ and Jeter wasn’t wrong!

The collection has turned out stunning, with original prints and screen prints. The collection includes works such as ‘The Swing’, which features Jeter hitting a home run against the New York Mets in the 2000 World Series. There is another standout work, ‘The Jump’, which captures the iconic play statue of Derek Jeter as a blocker. Furthermore, the pieces are dusted with diamond dust, giving them a sparkling aspect—making them even more special, of course, is Jeter’s signature on the original pieces. This work of art is valued at between $40,000 and $60,000 for a diptych of both works. And anyone who purchases them as an added perk will get to enjoy a private dinner with Derek Jeter himself in Miami during Art Basel. However, if any fans cannot attend Art Basel, the collection will also be on display at Art Miami. A portion of the proceeds from the sale of these works will go to Jeter’s Turn 2 foundation.
