It was also a pretty sweet 28th birthday for DeJean’s teammate, Saquon Barkley , who set the single-season record for total yards gained during the regular season and playoffs. But it was DeJean who had the biggest play. DeJean broke up a pass from DeAndre Hopkins and intercepted Mahomes before rushing in to score. DeJean said his thinking is simple when he has the ball. “Score a touchdown,” he said. “I was trying to find the fastest way to the end zone. Luckily, I blocked a few shots there. I had to avoid some of those big guys, but it was just our defense coming together like we’ve done all year. It fell right into my lap.”
