The Philadelphia Eagles have a 3-2 record on the season and will play the New York Giants in Week 7. They are looking to get another win and maintain a positive atmosphere. After the break, the Eagles made some adjustments and changes to the team. One of them is bringing rookie Cooper DeJean into the starting lineup. His progression has been delayed after he suffered a hamstring injury in the summer. That sidelined him throughout training camp and forced him to lose valuable reps. Defensive coordinator Vic Fangio inserted DeJean into the starting lineup but it’s unknown if he’s ready for the workload.

Fangio also added that DeJean had fewer bench minutes due to the tight practice schedule after Monday Night Football and the week off. The Eagles decided to put the rookie out there to see what he could do. The Iowa product finished with six total tackles and half a tackle for loss. Additionally, he finished with an overall grade of 70.7 and a guard grade of 75.8 per PFF. Despite the lack of innings, DeJean looked good out there.
