Philadelphia Eagles safety CJ Gardner-Johnson mocked Kansas City Chiefs linebacker Travis Kelce in a social media post following the team’s victory in Super Bowl LIX on Sunday. Gardner-Johnson, whose successful catch was canceled late in the game, posted a message that appeared to take aim at the star edge rusher and his love life. Gardner-Johnson appeared to reference Kelce’s ex, Kayla Nicole, and drew comparisons to the edge rusher’s current flame, pop star Taylor Swift . Both women were on hand to see the Eagles defeat the Chiefs 40-22. Nicole was on the field, blowing green and white scraps of paper around while celebrating the Eagles’ victory. Kelce was seen after the game going up to Swift’s room to see her before he left with the team. Kelce appeared upset as he walked off the field after the loss.
Rodgers joins the Jets in 2023 after 18 seasons with the Green Bay Packers. His first year in New York didn’t go as planned as he tore his Achilles tendon in the opening minutes of Week 1 of the 2023 season. This past season, the 41-year-old threw for 3,897 yards and recorded 28 touchdown passes and 11 interceptions in 17 games. According to Diana Russini of The Athletic , the Jets reportedly have a few terms in place for Rodgers if they want to get together for 2025. One of them seems pretty simple: he must attend all mandatory practices. While it may seem obvious, Rodgers actually missed a pair of minicamp practices last summer while on vacation in Egypt. The team’s old leadership didn’t seem to mind much about that trip. Clearly, Glenn and Mougey want to get ahead of the situation this time.
Importantly, however, Rodgers will no longer be allowed to appear in any outside media during the season – including regular and paid appearances on ESPN’s “The Pat McAfee Show.” Rodgers, for better or worse, has been a regular on that show for many years. He is said to make more than $1 million a year doing so. While there was talk of football, Rodgers made headlines on the show for sharing conspiracy theories and more. He even hinted that late-night TV host Jimmy Kimmel, a Disney employee, would be found to be an acquaintance of convicted child sex trafficker Jeffrey Epstein, something the network strongly denied after Kimmel threatened to sue.
