The Buffalo Bills announced that they are bringing veteran safety Micah Hyde back to Western New York. He is now on the practice squad, replacing fired WR Deon Cain. During the off-season, the Buffalo Bills parted ways with more than a few veterans as they revamped their roster and appeared to be sold on the youth movement. However, one veteran they have no intention of cutting ties with is safety Micah Hyde. The 11-year safety, who has been part of the Bills organization since 2017, simply let his contract expire.

Hyde has gone on record saying that if he chooses to return to the game – which he could do at any time since he hasn’t filed retirement paperwork with the NFL – he could just find himself in the red-and-white -Buffalo green. On the other hand, Bills general manager Brandon Beane has been adamant that the lines of communication with the All-Pro safety are open and he would be happy to chat about a Hyde reunion. Now those phone lines have been disconnected and the conversations have ended because Hyde will put his phone on airplane mode when he boards the flight from California to Buffalo.
