Josh Allen is worried he’ll leave some people out in his NFL Most Valuable Player acceptance speech. He was able to put “Slick Rick in the mailroom” and his fiancee Hailee Steinfeld in the same televised speech. Allen won his first MVP award at Thursday’s NFL Honors ceremony in New Orleans, beating out Baltimore Ravens quarterback Lamar Jackson for the league’s most prestigious individual honor. Here’s the full speech from the Buffalo Bills quarterback , who totaled 4,269 yards and 41 touchdowns in 2024. You can watch the full speech below the transcript. “So many people to thank. I know I’m going to forget a few so I apologize in advance. First of all, I want to thank God for allowing me to be here today. I want to recognize the other nominees. Joe (Burrow), Jared (Goff), Saquon (Barkley), Lamar (Jackson) all had great seasons and can all stand here today. You deserve it. You are true stewards of the game. I admire you guys. I look forward to sharing the football field with you in the future. I want to thank the Bills organization.

Terry and Kim Pegula, Brandon Beane, Sean McDermott. Thank you for choosing me seven and a half years ago. It feels like just yesterday, it really does. I know this is an individual award and it says Most Valuable Player, but I think this award comes from the team’s success and I love my team. D-Daw, thank you for the award. I really appreciate that. We have a great locker room in Buffalo. It has everyone from the equipment staff to the workout room to the strength staff, to Slick Rick in the mailroom to the cafeteria upstairs. It truly takes everyone to make the team successful and I am very fortunate to be part of a great organization. I want to thank Joel and Lavonne, my parents. In their 20+ years of football going to Pop Warner, I bet they’ve missed 15 games in their entire lives. They are so dedicated to supporting me and my favorite teammates, which are my older sister, brother and younger sister, Nicala, Jason and Makenna. Thank you for all your support. All the time, money, energy wasted growing up going from meet to game to practice every day.
